Food was always the plan.
Check Check City is a Ghanaian rice brand built on family ambition, authentic recipes and a commitment to making every order feel dependable.
A shared dream became a growing kitchen.
Siblings Philipa Adusei and Dr Frank Danquah Adusei both carried an early desire to build a food business. Philipa kept returning to food entrepreneurship through small ventures, catering and event work. Frank once sold fried rice door to door while at university.
Those experiences became Check Check City: a food brand centred on Ghanaian fried rice, jollof and generous meal combinations. As demand grew, the business expanded through participating branches to bring the food closer to more people and reduce queues.
The goal is not simply expansion. It is to keep the recipe, preparation, packaging and service consistent as the business grows.
