Website notice: this website does not use advertising cookies, customer-tracking cookies or website analytics. The mobile app does use service, notification, usage and error data as described below.
1. Who we are
Check Check City is the business and data controller responsible for customer information used to provide meals, ordering, pickup, delivery and support.
Our primary public address is Ayeduase Road, Kumasi, Ghana. Privacy questions and requests can be made by calling or messaging 054 488 5921.
2. Scope
This policy applies when you visit checkcheckcity.app or checkcity.app, use the Check Check City mobile app, place or receive an order, make a payment, contact support, or otherwise interact with a Check Check City service that links to this policy.
Third-party services may have their own privacy notices. Review those notices when their website or checkout is shown.

Website technical information
Cloudflare, our website host, and Google Fonts, our typeface provider, may receive technical request information such as IP address, browser details, requested page, time and security signals needed to deliver the website and prevent abuse. Check Check City does not add website analytics or advertising trackers.
4. Optional device permissions
The app requests foreground location permission to suggest the nearest branch, reverse-geocode a readable address and support delivery estimates. It requests notification permission to send order and account updates.
You may deny or revoke these permissions in device settings. Without location permission, you can select a branch and provide an address manually. Without notification permission, you should check the app for order updates.
5. How we use information
We use information when reasonably necessary to:
- verify accounts and protect access;
- show branch-specific menus, prices and availability;
- create, accept, prepare, deliver and track orders;
- calculate delivery coverage, distance, fees and estimates;
- process and reconcile payments, credits and refunds;
- send transactional notifications and contact customers about fulfilment;
- answer questions, investigate claims and resolve disputes;
- detect fraud, abuse, errors and security incidents;
- measure and improve app reliability and customer experience; and
- comply with accounting, tax, legal and regulatory obligations.
6. Sharing and service providers
Information is shared only as reasonably needed with:
- Check Check City branches, authorised staff and delivery personnel involved in preparing, handing over or delivering an order;
- Paystack and other payment providers used to host checkout, verify payment, reconcile transactions and process refunds;
- Google Maps services used for place search, mapping and address geocoding;
- Expo services used to issue app push tokens and deliver notifications;
- PostHog used for mobile-app usage analytics, touch interactions, screen and app-lifecycle events, diagnostics and error tracking. When a user is signed in, PostHog is associated with the account identifier and may receive name, first and last name, email address and phone number from the account profile;
- Cloudflare and other infrastructure providers used to host, secure and deliver the website and services; and
- professional advisers, regulators, courts or law-enforcement bodies when disclosure is legally required or reasonably necessary to protect rights and safety.
Some service providers may process information outside Ghana. Their processing is subject to their contractual, technical and legal safeguards and the requirements applicable to Check Check City.
We do not sell customer personal information or share it for third-party behavioural advertising.
7. Payment information
Online checkout is provided by the selected payment processor. Check Check City does not receive or store the full card number, card security code or mobile-money PIN entered on the processor's checkout.
We receive payment and refund information needed to match the transaction to an order, such as provider, status, amount, reference and timestamps. The payment provider processes additional information under its own privacy notice and legal obligations.
8. Retention
We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, including order fulfilment, account operation, support, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, accounting, tax and legal obligations.
Different records may have different retention periods. A deletion request may not cover information that must be retained by law or is reasonably needed to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
9. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical and organisational safeguards intended to protect customer information. These include encrypted network connections, controlled access, account verification and use of specialised payment processors.
No system can guarantee absolute security. Protect your phone, verification codes and account access, and contact us if you believe an account or order has been used without permission.
10. Your choices and rights
Subject to applicable law, including Ghana's Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843), you may ask to access, correct or delete personal information, object to certain processing, or request more information about how it is used.
You can update available profile fields in the app, control device permissions in system settings and request help through 054 488 5921. We may need to verify your identity before completing a privacy request.
11. Children
The ordering service is intended for people able to enter a purchase agreement. A person under 18 should place an order only with the involvement and permission of a parent or legal guardian.
12. Changes and contact
We may update this policy when the app, business practices or legal requirements change. The effective date at the top identifies the current version.
For a privacy question or request, call 054 488 5921 or contact us on WhatsApp. You may also visit or write to Check Check City at Ayeduase Road, Kumasi, Ghana.
